You think television hiatuses are rough when you have to wait a month for your favorite show to come back? Samurai Jack fans waited thirteen years.

The much beloved and award winning animated show by Genndy Tartakovsky makes it’s return on Adult Swim March 11th. The trailer dropped on Monday revealing the series is heading down a much darker path than the original run.

TV Line gives some more information about the limited series:

His nemesis, the all-powerful demon Aku, now reigns menacingly over the past, present and future, giving little hope for Jack as he prepares to once again battle his enemy. (There’s literally a part in the trailer where someone tells him, “There is no hope for you, foolish samurai.”)

Hope was raised in fandoms and saw how they can help save the world from her work with The Harry Potter Alliance. Now, she works to bring that love into writing one article at a time. She's also a diehard Atlanta Braves fan, so don't diss her team.
