Snowpiercer is Getting a Television Adaptation on TNT

By  |

The 2013 movie Snowpiercer written and directed by Bong Joon Ho that stared Chris Evans will be developed into a television show on TNT.

Tomorrow Studios is producing the show with Josh Friedman writing it, and Ho is returning as the executive producer.

TV Line is reporting:

Set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer will explore “class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival” as it follows the remnants of humanity as they inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe.

As seen in the 2013 film fronted by Chris Evans, “Snowpiercer has one of the most original concepts to hit the screen in the last decade, and it’s one that offers numerous opportunities for deeper exploration in a series format,” TNT EVP Sarah Aubrey said in a statement. “We look forward to [this] take on a world where humanity is pushed to the extreme.”

Hope set out into the world to be a Pokemon Coordinator. When she realized that Pokemon were not real, she pursued her other passion: writing. Hope was raised in fandoms and saw how they can help save the world from her work with The Harry Potter Alliance. Now, she works to bring that love into writing one article at a time. She's also a diehard Atlanta Braves fan, so don't diss her team.
