Agent Carter Premieres January 4 with 2-Hour Episode
Finally a show not named Once Upon a Time is getting two hours to tell a story! Agent Carter, which came very close to getting canceled, makes its return on Tuesday January 4 with a two-hour premiere.
Agent Carter takes over Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s spot until that Marvel show returns from hiatus on March 8.
This season finds Agent Carter relocated to 1940s Los Angeles. ABC’s official synopsis explains:
Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home – and perhaps even a new love – she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
Early Hollywood era Los Angeles is somewhat underused on TV, so the location change could be a good idea. Some characters are making the move to LA and some are not. A new face will be played by Ken Marino, who will play mob boss Joseph Manfredi. Marino (Wet Hot American Summer, Party Down, Marry Me, Burning Love and Children’s Hospital) is welcome on our screen any time, so we are looking forward to this one.
