Slice of Life: Mashable’s Chris Taylor Takes on Apple
Slice of Life: This is our new section on What the Fangirl. Here we feature stories from everyday life that resonate with us in some way.
Over the course of three hours, I was glued to my Twitter feed. Mashable editor Chris Taylor spun a deep tale over forty tweets depicting his struggle with Apple. His story wrapped in multiple themes such as politics, a hero in the form of a local business owner, and the bogged down bureaucracy of Apple starring as the villain.
The part that stuck out to me was the Apple employee who had to work on Labor Day. I’ve been in retail about fifteen years, just about half of my life. I stopped enjoying Christmas, my favorite holiday, a long time ago. Every Thanksgiving I miss because of the now-the-norm Black Thursday, I pray it’s not the last one for my aging grandfather.
Anyone who has dealt with Apple or any terrible customer service representatives will enjoy this.
