The Fourth Doctor And Sarah Jane Smith Return For New Comic Series by Titan

Hot on the heels of Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor starting an exciting solo series, Titan Comics and BBC Worldwide have announced a new mini series starring the Fourth Doctor. The comic will star the Fourth Doctor as played by the wonderful Tom Baker. It will also feature sidekick Sarah Jane Smith, who as portrayed by the late Elisabeth Sladen is one of the series’ most beloved characters.

“Entitled ‘Gaze Of The Medusa’, the five-part series will hit stores in March 2016 and will be penned by Gordon Rennie (Missionary Man, Judge Dredd) and Emma Beeby (Witch Hunter, Judge Dredd) with art by Brian Williamson (The Twelfth Doctor, Spider-Man, X-Men),” said Titan in a press release. “The all-new adventure is set in Victorian England, where a mysterious woman commands a hidden army in a house of the blind. Scryclops stalk the streets…and something alien and terrible screams from prehistory – with a hunger that cannot be satisfied!”

Doctor Who is more popular than ever, thanks to a critically acclaimed television series and worldwide exposure. Our own Hope Mullinax recently reviewed Doctor Who Eighth Doctor #1, where she concluded that Titan Comics got the tone, setting and characterization exactly right.

The Doctor Who comics line now has comics featuring the Fourth, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors!

The Fourth Doctor Issue #1 will have six covers: a painted cover by artist Alice X. Zhang; a photo variant; a blank sketch variant; and art covers by Brian Williamson, Jay Gunn and Matt Baxter. You can look for the issue in March of 2016.
