Art For Green Wish: A Fundraiser for a Good Cause

By  |

Just in time for the season five premiere of Once Upon A Time, superfans Sharon and Lisa decided to use their fandom for a good cause! Together, they’re raising money for Green Wish using Once fanart from a variety of artists!

Picture_1_400x400Green Wish is a non-profit group founded by Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon A Time, Murder in the First, Mass Effect) that helps fund local environmental projects. To put simply, they help guide you on how improve your green organization to make the world better step by step. Being a non-profit, they rely on donations and fundraisers to run.

Sharon and Lisa have recruited several Once artists to donate artwork for the fundraiser. It’s all through their website Art for Green Wish.

What do you need to know about the fundraiser?

It’s running from September 27-29th starting at midnight EST. You can shop a variety of items in that time. All the proceeds go to Green Wish. It’s that simple!

But wait! There’s more!

Art for Green Wish will reopen November 1st as an eco-friendly holiday gift shop with holiday cards and stickers printed on recycled paper and other items. You can get presents for that special someone while supporting a great organization! Isn’t that amazing?

There are still things that need to be done. We’re continuing to look for artists to contribute for both this weekend and November’s fundraisers. We’ll take anything from art prints, mugs, jewelry, tea, bath bombs, and everything in between! The only rule is it has to be your original work. If you’re interested in contributing, you can email Lisa at Lisa@artforgreenwish.com!

In this crazy twitter age with ship wars and online bullying, it’s amazing to see a fandom come together for a great cause.

Please visit Art for Green Wish for more information. Make sure you tune in for Once Upon A Time‘s return September 27th at 8pm!

Here’s a sneak peek at just a few of the many items on sale!

Hope set out into the world to be a Pokemon Coordinator. When she realized that Pokemon were not real, she pursued her other passion: writing. Hope was raised in fandoms and saw how they can help save the world from her work with The Harry Potter Alliance. Now, she works to bring that love into writing one article at a time. She's also a diehard Atlanta Braves fan, so don't diss her team.
